Presidency & Governance
Similarly to the G20 and other intergovernmental organizations, the BRICS elects one of its heads of state to serve as a Pro Tempore President at each BRICS Summit, that happens every year. The President is responsible for setting the agenda of the group throughout its term, and spearhead initiatives to help the group achieve its goals.
